Globe Life Donates Lake Tenkiller Facility to NewView Oklahoma
Globe Life is proud to announce one of the largest donations in Company history with the donation of the Company’s Lake Tenkiller property to NewView Oklahoma. NewView Oklahoma is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1949 with a mission to empower people who are blind and visually impaired to achieve their maximum level of independence through employment, low vision rehabilitation, and community outreach. The corporate meeting facility, complete with a caretaker’s cottage and guest house, sits on a 3-acre waterfront property valued at $1.8 million.
United American celebrated its 70th birthday in August 2017. UA was founded in 1947 by WWII veteran, C.L. Dunlap.
American Income Life Donates $35,055 to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation
As part of the Company’s charitable outreach efforts, AIL State General Agents (SGAs) and staff donated $35,055 to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation at the SGA meeting on November 15th. More than 50 SGAs helped buy and assemble 14 bikes for kids from the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. Of those 14 bikes, three were donated to three lucky kids immediately following the build.
Liberty National Donates $10K to Island Dolphin Care
Liberty National’s 2019 Council of Champions, in Key Largo for their spring meeting, donated $10,000 to Island Dolphin Care. IDC uses dolphins in therapy to help children and adults with mental, physical and emotional challenges. Spouses and guests of meeting attendees spent a few hours at IDC helping to replant their Sensory Garden, which had been destroyed by Hurricane Irma.
Family Heritage Life Donates $24,415 to Veterans Village of San Diego
Veterans Village of San Diego has been serving veterans since 1981 by helping them overcome homelessness and related challenges. Each year VVSD provides services to veterans throughout San Diego County with emergency, transitional and permanent housing, employment and training services, advocacy for the homeless and drug and alcohol rehab. Our donations will help support Stand Down, a 3-day outreach and triage program for almost 1,000 vets annually.
